Cherish your Family: A Short Message

This time of year we give thanks to the many blessings we have in our life. One of the greatest among them being our families. I think it is plain to see that we often take them for granted; especially our grandparents. We don't realize how much they mean to us until they have passed on. We don't realize the impact their company has on us daily until they are no longer in our physical presence. Family is the most important thing we have and the most precious. The clock is forever ticking away, thus it is important that we treasure every moment we spend with them. This holiday season, put away your phones, your distractions and any stress you may be feeling and focus your attention on them. Spend your time in laughter reminiscing on the past and cherishing the present. Play games, share a meal, sit around the fire pit and tell stories. And always give them hugs and let them know that you love them. As my Grandma says, "each moment is very precious and as it passes it becomes apart of our memories." It's important that we make the most of each moment. Life is too short to waste on our cell phones or with a negative attitude. Let us be present and cherish our families each and every day we spend with them, for families are forever!
