Do you ever feel like you had an expectation of yourself as to who you were supposed to be
hen you grew up? Do you ever feel like you aren't and will never be good enough? Do you ever pressure yourself to be perfect?
I think we all had some expectation of ourselves whether it be characteristic, professional, social or family related. We don't give ourselves enough credit as to who we are today. We all have goals in mind that we want to achieve and that is great! We should always strive to reach our goals and progress. That is what life is about!
However, we should also love and appreciate who we are. Appreciate your sense of humor, your compassion, your kindness, your style, your ambitions and your endurance! Appreciate that you make other's smile. Appreciate that you have so many talents and abilities. Appreciate that you are an all-around great human being!

Never let anyone tell you otherwise and never let anyone's judgments make you feel any less. And do not live your life for other people! You deserve to be happy as you are. You deserve to live in such a way that will bring you the most happiness. And you deserve to treat yourself with upmost respect and kindness.
Are you doing a job you hate? Quit and get a different one. Do you hate your college major? Change it! Did you discover that your political or religious beliefs differ from friends and family? That's okay! Be who you are because it is beautiful! Happiness is beautiful. Of course this is easier said than done, but we need to free ourselves from living a half-life; a life lived shunning who we are.
We need to have more self-love, so we can embrace who we are! Remember that you are important! And remember that you are a gift to all of those around you. I challenge you everyday for the next week to look in the mirror and say "I am enough." I want you to know that you are enough and be bold enough to say it! In the words of Elsa from Frozen II, "Show Yourself... You are the one you've been waiting for, all of your life." My friends love yourself. You deserve it!
