Love Thy Neighbor

My friends, I know tensions have been high throughout this whole year but I truly believe we need to unite no matter our beliefs. Love is the strongest uniting force that we have. Where would we be without it? Just like you, I understand how infuriating people can be. It is incredibly easy to make snap judgements. We have all done it.

It is difficult to be kind when we are not being treated with kindness. Despite this, we need to choose to rise above it and in return see them as our brothers and sisters. They too have a story with a series of ups, downs and plot twists beyond our comprehension. We need to remember this and serve our fellow mankind with kindness and love. I'm not saying that others will always respond in a cordial manner but I'm saying if there is enough people willing to rise above negativity, then there is no way we can go wrong. Imagine if everyone embraced each other with warmth instead of blank stares. Even a smile at a stranger can make a small difference, a shift in mood. Imagine if we all tried to understand each other instead of jumping to conclusions and making assumptions. Imagine a world where we can come together sharing in what makes us alike instead of our differences. And this holiday season is the perfect time to start!
